In many ways my home has become an extension of my wardrobe - the way I dress myself and the way I dress my house have some striking similarities. A combination of investment staples (for the purposes of this analogy, my cream Laura Ashley sofas and my beige Joseph blazer are the cornerstones of my style) accented with bold prints, smug one-of-a-kind finds and the odd trend-led piece combine to create a collection that speaks to my style, and my style alone. As such, the way I shop for them both is similar too.
While I shop for homeware on the high street, often in the same places as I scout out new clothing, I usually have to look a little further afield to find unique pieces that not everyone will have. When looking for something a little different, eBay has long been my first port of call for secret fashion and interior finds. And while competitively bidding on the auction site for second-hand buys has been a thrilling process in the past, there are also plenty of buy-now homeware gems to be had for anyone looking to (understandably) keep their BPM steady while they shop.
