Jeans can be a complete chore – especially when you’re on the lookout for the perfect pair. With high waisted, slim-fit, boyfriend fit, mom jeans, skinny jeans and straight-leg jeans on offer, hunting down a pair that lives up to everything you want can be mind-boggling to say the least. I’ve always found it difficult to track down the perfect pair, you know: comfortable, stylish, flattering, affordable. It’s an impossible feat, but I reckon I’ve finally nailed it – and it’s all thanks to M&S.
For years I just put up with ill-fitting jeans that dipped down at the back, I avoided flared and wide leg styles, and I shied away from making an investment in a pair – until recently at least. An obsessive skinny jeans fiend, I’ve been a lover of the fitted drainpipe style for as long as I can remember, but since Gen Z are completely determined to banish them forever, I thought I better jump on the loose-fitting bandwagon and try something new. Skinny jeans conceal a multitude of sins, they streamline your figure and leave you with a silhouette ready for any look, and as someone with broad hips, I never thought I’d get away with donning a pair of loose-fitting jeans – but I was so wrong.
