With Paris Fashion Week soon drawing to a close, it’s time to find a new fashion focus to keep us occupied. And as much as we have loved obsessing over the latest street shots of fashion month attendees, we have to admit that it’s not exactly great for improving our own style satisfaction. Their inspirational wardrobes, though premium and perfectly put-together, can sometimes create some serious envy and, more often than not, leaves us feeling dissatisfied with everything hanging in our own. Add to that all the next season newness strutting down the runway, and you can see how the average person may feel a little despondent with their clothing choices by the end of it. Luckily, where one fashionable stretch comes to an end, another is just beginning: the mid-season sales - and they’re exactly what we need to give us back our style mojo.

With the right know-how (and shopping editors like us spending hours trawling the internet for the best mood-boosting bargain buys), it’s possible to track down the new season pieces that will set your hearts racing just as much as those spotted on your favourite street style stars, but without having to empty your bank accounts whilst you’re at it. 

The one high-street sale we’re most impressed with right now? Hands down, it has to be Monki, whose 50% off mid-season sale  is packed to the rafters with chic, ”Where did you get that?” pieces. Sure they might not be the luxury street styles you were lusting over from London to Milan, but there’s plenty of expensive-looking pieces you’d never think were high street (alongside some ultra-fun styles that are simply designed to make you happy). 

We’re already eyeing up all things autumn in the edit with cosy knits, practical coats, long-sleeved midi dresses and timely trousers all begging to be added to our baskets. Big shouty logos can live up even the simplest look. We'll be adding this sisterhood slogan sweat to our usual blue straight leg jeans and a beige mac to bring it all to life. 

Sort of like a suit, but way more casual and infinitely more fun- you'll get so much wear out of this burnt orange co-ord. Wear together with white trainers for the biggest impact, or break down into the jacket (it will look amazing with a stripe polo and jeans) or trousers (just add a tee) on their own. 

Beige was a key trend both on and off the catwalk this season, and you don't have to fork out to ace the look. Wearing one tone all-over just oozes elegance, so use this ladylike midi skirt as a starting point, and pair with a matching colour knit or high neck. 

Find top to toe neutrals too dull? This minimalist wrap dress - complete with talking-point line drawing detail - is sure to get you excited.

Trust us when we say you're going to be living in skinny polos this season. Why? Because they're so incredibly easy - and, at this price, super affordable so you can stock up on multiple colours. The hot pink is our favourite though.
