The Frame Is The TV Everyone Is Raving About – But Is It Actually Worth It?

You’ve probably heard of The Frame TV, and you’re probably wondering if it’s actually worth it. Well, let me tell you – it’s worth every single penny.

At the risk of sounding really boring, my nights usually consist of one thing (okay, two if you include my usual gin and tonic) – the television. I am constantly watching the TV – from the second I get up out of bed, stretch and put the kettle on, the TV is switched on and left on in the background for almost all of the day. Whether the news is mumbling away to itself or I’m sitting down in the evenings watching the soaps or enjoying a full-length feature film – the TV is a firm staple in my day-to-day life.

It was in November last year though that I realised my trusty TV wasn’t living up to everything I needed from it. Firstly, as I became increasingly house proud, it simply didn’t fit in with my home anymore. Plus, it was also on its last legs – a day I’d secretly been waiting for. Why? Because I’d been secretly eyeing up its successor for months - The Frame TV. But I won’t lie, having not been shopping the market for a TV for some time, I was taken aback by the price, worried that it wouldn’t live up to the dent in my bank balance. But trust me when I say, it wasn’t long before all those feelings melted away.

Compared to my old TV, The Frame is one million times better – the sheer amount of features and the way it blends into my home is incredible. It’s biggest draw is its appearance. It’s not just a TV, it’s a piece of art – literally. Housed in a frame with the option to purchase additional custom bezels to suit your home*, it looks like it could hang in gallery. Plus, with Art Mode**, pieces of fine art can now be on display when your TV is switched off - and my living room has never looked better because of it. A bespoke canvas that reflects my own personal taste and camouflages into my unique home decor.

But it’s not all about looks. This TV boasts of having a QLED 4K HDR Smart TV display***, which is of incredible quality. Watching my favourite movies over the festive period was such a joy as I was experiencing them in a completely different way – a way I never even imagined. The Frame brings everything from movies and art to life with the clever Quantum Dot display technology. This innovative tech transforms light into over a billion true-to-life colours – this means you’ll be seeing everything exactly how it was intended for you to see it. Even when I’m binge-watching TV shows, or watching my nightly soaps, everything seems so much more ‘real’. Complete your audio experience with virtual 3D surround sound that tracks the action on-screen.

With any The Frame sized 43" up to the 85", you can mirror your mobile screen to the TV - great for gaming - or split the screen in two providing you have a compatible smartphone and a decent internet connection. You also get Alexa - ideal for cranking your festive playlists - Bixby, and Google Assistant built-in at no extra charge on all sizes, so you can control your TV using voice assistant and connect it to other devices in your smart home. Fingers crossed we aren’t thrown into more lockdowns, but if we are, I know I’m covered for entertainment all round – and that’s worth every penny.
